At times, you might receive an email alerts asking for your attention on some error or giving you a scheme benefit. It is advisable that you do not click on the given links. Instead, visit the company site directly and access your account. You can also call up the customer service cell of the institution to seek help/information on the schemes or such emails.

Take care when discarding your credit cards bills and other documents. Shred them finely so that information cannot be put together from them. You can also dispose these in different trash bags/baskets to rule out any possibility for dumps drivers to reassemble the tit-bits.

As stated earlier, that thieve can modify your address. To avert any such occurrence, keep a track of the billing date. If you do not receive the bill in few days following the expected date, inform and confirm the billing address with the concerned institution. While traveling carry your documents in backpack and keep a close watch to avoid thefts.
