The current NPA norms stipulate that if a borrower is unable to pay the installment within a stated period of 90 days (from the due date of payment), the loan is classified as NPA on the 91st day.

Besides, bad credit history inversely affects your future borrowing and may even increase the interest rate charged on the borrowing.
