Indian Overseas Bank
Indian Overseas Bank came into existence on February 10th 1937,by Shri.M.Ct.M. Chidambaram Chettyar. IOB was one of the 14 major banks that was nationalised in 1969.
Indian Overseas Bank as on March 2003 had 1427 branches in India and 6 branches overseas. Besides the Bank has a network of over 875 ATMs and 243 Extension Counters. The bank has introduced the concept of “Any Branch Banking”. IOB offers this facility in selected branches in major cities and select state capitals where our network is available. IOB have branches in Colombo, Hong kong, Seoul Singapore, and has opened a Foreign Currency Banking Unit in the free trade zone in Colombo.
