Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank came into existence on 12.09.2005 with the amalgamation of 4 erstwhile Regional Rural Banks sponsored by Syndicate Bank in the state of Karnataka namely Malaprabha Grameena Bank, Varada Grameena Bank, Netravati Grameena Bank and Bijapur Grameena Bank with the objective of catering to the needs of the target group under Farm Sector and Non Farm Sector.
The operational area of the Bank extends to 9 Districts namely Bagalkot, Belgaum, Bijapur, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Udupi, Uttar Kannada and Dakshina Kannada with a network of 552 branches. The Bank has a customer base of over 4 million. |
