| State Bank of Mysore a premier nationalized bank in Karnataka with all India presence was established in the year 1913 as Bank of Mysore Ltd. under the support of former Government of Mysore, on the request of the banking committee headed by the great Engineer- Statesman, Late Dr. Sir. M. Visvesvarava. On March 1960 the Bank became an Associate of State Bank of India holding 92.33% of shares.
