| It was in 1917 before the independence the foundation of the State Bank of Patiala was laid. The main aim of the bank was to help in the development of growth of agriculture, trade and industry. But after the independence with the formation of the Patiala and east of Punjab States Union in 1948 bank was rationalized and brought under the control of Reserve Bank of India and it was named as ‘Bank of Patiala’. In 1960 bank became the subsidiary of the State Bank of India and was named as the State Bank of Patiala. All the branches are fully computerized. Bank deals in wide range of products like loans – car, education, career, personal loan, and saving account. |
