Vijaya Bank Saving Accounts
Vijaya bank savings account can be opened by an individual in his/her own name, jointly, by natural guardian of a minor on behalf of the minor or by a person in the name of any minor of whom he or she is a guardian appointed by a competent Court, Secretaries, Treasurers, Managers of authorized clubs, etc. The account can be opened with a minimum balance of Rs 250/- in fully computerized branches and Rs.100/- in other branches. The same minimum balance should always be maintained to keep the account operating. Bank has a range of accounts – V-Gen Uth , V-Payroll savings bank account, V-Balika savings bank & term deposit account, V Platinum savings bank account, and Vijaya Saral savings account.

V-Gen Uth account can be opened by children from the day 1 of their birth. Students who are doing courses are also eligible for the opening the account. Account can be opened with minimum deposit of Rs 10/- and can continue with zero balance. There is facility of free transfer to Child's account from parents' account. V-Payroll savings bank account is for salaried class people, particularly those working in Corporation /firms/ institutions / Companies/ Govt. Dept etc . In an organization there should be minimum 10 employees and the salary should not be less than Rs 5000/- per month to be eligible to open this account. Sweep facility is available in this account. V-Balika savings bank & term deposit account- as the name suggest is the account designed for girls. The girl child below the age of 16 years is eligible for opening this account. After receiving the incentive on amount saved in savings account, the amount will be transferred to V-Balika term deposit account. V Platinum savings bank account has been designed for those customers who maintain certain minimum balances in their accounts. Vijaya Saral savings account can be opened only by an individual with a minimum deposit of Rs 10/-. No debit/ATM cards are available in the scheme, collection of third party cheque is not allowed under this account, etc.

  • Free transfer to Child's account from parents' account.
  • Balance in Savings bank Account in excess of Rs.10,000/- transfered to Term Deposit Account in multiples of Rs.5,000/- to earn more interest.
  • No fee for payment of School fees, Hostel fees, etc. through the account.
  • Free collection of cheques / DDs gifted to the child - upto Rs.25,000/- per annum.
  • Offer of Education loan at concession of 0.50% on teh prevailing rate, in recognition of continued relationship.

  Vijaya Bank : V Platinum Savings Bank Account
  • Free CREDIT card (with personal accident death insurance cover of Rs.1.00 lakh) for the first year.
  • Zero commission remittances upto Rs.1.00 lakh per annum in Urban/Metropolitan branches and upto Rs.50000/- per annum in Rural / Semi - urban branches.
  • No charges for standing instructions.
  • Demat account - Account opening free.
  • Immediate credit of outstation cheques up to Rs.25000/- with normal charges.
  • Individuals and HUFs welcome to open their account under this scheme.

  Vijaya Bank : Vijaya Saral Savings Account
  • The scheme is available in all branches of the Bank only to the individuals.
  • Cheque book will not be issued to the account holders. Withdrawal will be only by way of withdrawal slips by presenting the pass book.
  • No debit/ATM cards available in the scheme.
  • No third party cheque is to be collected in this account.
  • Total withdrawals shall not exceed 36 per financial year.
  • No folio charges will be levied.
  • No penalty for non-maintenance of minimum balance.
  • No charges will be levied for noting standing instructions. However, for execution of standing instructions, the charges will be levied.
  • All other terms and conditions applicable to normal Savings Bank account shall also apply to this scheme.

  Vijaya Bank : V Payroll Savings Bank Account

  • 50% concession in service charges for remittances like DD , standing Instruction, etc.

  • V-Cash loan facility
    Eligibility as per existing norms for V-Cash loan.

  •   Vijaya Bank : V Balika Savings Bank Account

      Vijaya Bank : V Genuth Savings Bank Account

  • Instruments payable at outstation centres and drawn in the name of the ward up to an aggregate amount of Rs.25,000/- per annum will be collected free of charges. But out of pocket expenses, if any, will be recovered separately.

  • After the minor attains majority, his/ her request to the bank for other loan facilities like vehicle loan, housing loan, etc., will be considered on priority basis under the Bank’s respective loan scheme and subject to eligibility. Such credit facilities will be extended on the rates of interest applicable for such loans and additional concessions other than those built into respective schemes are not available.

  • Transfer of funds from parent / guardian’s account in any branch of Vijaya Bank to student’s account is at par
