Private sector lender Catholic Syrian Bank has posted robust growth in business in the fiscal last ended. The south based bank booked net profit worth Rs 12.18 crore in the last fiscal as against Rs 1.65 crore in the fiscal prior to that. There has been more than 30% growth in total business with figures crossing Rs 15000 crore as on March 31, 2011. There has been 25% growth in deposit book while loan book figured to 39%, both crossing industry averages. The bank had a net worth of Rs 470.14 crore on fiscal end. The capital adequacy ratio (CAR) increased to 11.22% from 10.82% earlier.
