Banking regulator, Reserve Bank of India is soon going to issue coins of value Rs 10. The coins will once again come in circulation in order to mark the Platinum Jubilee of the bank.

A release by RBI said that the front face of these coins would bear the emblem of Ashoka pillar in the center.

The emblem of RBI, a palm tree tiger with the year "1935-2010" will be embossed in the back side of the coin, said the release.

At the same time, the government of India has decided to remove 25p coins from circulation with effect from July 2011.

These coins can be exchanged for their face value with authorised banks till June 30, 2011, after which they will not be exchanged, said the govt.
