Public sector lender Corporation Bank has tied up with four NGOs in order to offer social and economic inclusion of the young generation through enterprise development.

A two day Corporation Bank-Commonwealth Secretariat Youth Enterprise Financing Programme has been conducted on June 06 and June 07 in Bangalore so as to empower women entrepreneurs.

The NGOs participating in the tie up are Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Programme (SKDRP), NTR Memorial Trust, Drishtee Foundation and Dhan Foundation.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Corporation Bank and these NGOs.

While speaking to them, CMD of the bank, Mr Ramnath Pradeep said, "This is an exceptional opportunity for Corporation Bank to develop thought leadership in the area of assisting young women entrepreneurs. I urge all stakeholders on this project to immediately commence the specific lending programmes in each of the pilot locations. It is our responsibility to turn these young women from job seekers to job creators."
