The largest private lender, ICICI Bank is slowly cutting down working hours in all its branches across the country. The Bank that is recognized for its 12 hours banking pattern from 8am to 8pm has decided to reduce its business hours in the branches on Saturdays. It has declared to cut the business hours on Saturdays to 5 hours from 9am to 2pm. The bank has posted this information on its website and informed that the change will be valid from February 7th. Earlier in December bank had slashed its working hours at many of its branches by 3 hours. As of now the working hours on Saturday at all its branches are same as on the weekdays. This move has been taken by the bank in the wake of slowdown hitting the economy and recently it has also been reducing its direct selling agents (DSAs) to cut down its cost. |
