Public sector lender, Indian Overseas Bank has amibitious plans lined up for increasing its presence in central part of the country. According to the CMD, Mr. M. Narendra, the bank aims to take its branch as well as ATM count to 3000 each in India by March 2013. Current status of branch network of the bankis 2,020 and ATMs is 1000. Enmarking the platinum jubilee celebrations of the bank, it launched 75 new branches and 75 new ATMs in New Delhi recently. The bank is now targetting on increasing its presence in states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar. "In these States our branch presence is somewhat on the lower side. We would like to have more presence in these States", Mr Narendra said.
