Public sector lender Bank of India has announced a 0.5% concession in home and car loan rates for its non resident customer base. The move by the bank is aimed at widen its NRI customer base. The reduced rates are aimed to attract the non residents just prior to the Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas nearing soon. A stall has been set up by the lender at Vigyan Bhavan which currently sees nearly 1500 NRIs and and people of Indian Origins (PIO) visiting. The gathering was visited by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and several other Union Ministers.
