Public sector lender, Punjab National Bank has set up two new branches at Kazhakuttam in Thiruvananthapuram district and Chalakudy in Thrissur district of Kerala. The Chalakudy branch is also facilitated with ATM. It was inaugurated by Mr V. O. Pailappan, Chairman, Chalakudy Municipality. The branch at Kazhakuttam was inaugurated by Ms Sheela Thomas, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister. Speaking on the occasion, Mr S. Ranganathan, Field General Manager of the bank for South India said that the two new branches have brought the branch count of the bank in Kerala to 141. According to Mr K V Rajesh, Circle Head, there are plans to set up more branches and ATMs in the state in coming time.
