Regulator, Reserve Bank of India is adding two more members to its list of executive directors (EDs). The number of EDs would thus be raised to nine from the present seven. The new EDs would be appointed in the month of May. One of the present EDs would be replacing Dy. Governor, Shyamala Gopinath, who is going to superannuate in May. Thus the RBI will conduct interviews for a total of three EDs. The eligible candidates include P Vijay Bhaskar, regional director of Bangalore, B Mahapatra and G Padmanavan. The present EDs of RBI include V K Sharma, V S Das, G Gopalakrishna, HR Khan, D Mohanty, S Karuppasamy and R Gandhi.
