New Delhi: 1.4 million consumers in India from the affluent sections of the society can now avail HSBC's global personal banking service. On Thursday, HSBC launched a campaign to provide such services to over 200 million persons including people in India. The service rolled out under the name of HSBC Premier will be launched simultaneously across 35 countries. HSBC Premier includes comprehensive global banking and wealth management service and can be accessed from 250 international premier centers and over 6,000 branches with premier service points. Every location will have comprehensive expertise to provide local and other information to its customers. HSBC Premier will offer hassle free cross-border banking. It will allow the customers to transfer their accounts, credit history and banking relationships to any place they choose to live or work. Global recognition and support services, an exclusive HSBC Premier MasterCard Credit Card, international services and wealth management services are additional perks that come with a HSBC Premier account. Naina Lal Kidwai, Country Head HSBC India said, "The number of mass affluent class is growing rapidly, by as much as 20 per cent a year. These customers are highly mobile, sophisticated and knowledgeable." The first Indian woman to graduate from Harvard Business School Naina Lal Kidwai was listed by Fortune magazine among the World's Top 50 Corporate Women from 2000 to 2003. She is the first woman to head the operations of a foreign bank in India. |
