ATM cash misses; police holds SBI staff

Police officials have held employees of SBI for Rs 21 lakh that went missing from an ATM of the bank located at Bagh Ameer under Kukatpally PS limits. The employees have been held under section 420 of IPC.

The cash went missing on July 3.

S Lakshminarayana, inspector of police at Kukatpally, said the incident was brought into notice when an official of the bank came to fill the cash box of the ATM on July 4. He saw that Rs 21 lakh was missing and the CCTV of the ATM was disfunctional.

He launched a complaint with the police. The police took the SBI staff into the custody and were investigating the case, added the inspector.
