Private sector lender, Federal Bank has freed ATM transactions from all charges for its customers.

Currently, every debit card holder can transact from a different bank ATM for five times without charges every month. From the sixth transaction onwards, a transaction charge of Rs 20 is levied by most banks.

Now, with the new facility being added, a customer of Federal Bank can make transactions from any bank ATM any number of times without any charge being levied on him.

This facility is available to all debit card holders of the bank irrespective of the type of account they hold with the bank.

The facility has come into operation from yesterday, January 26, 2011.
