Café Coffee Day has in tied up with the global player in credit cards, American Express to offers a co-branded credit card to its customers.

The cardholders who spend Rs 250 or more on the weekends (from Friday to Sunday) at the any of the company's outlet will be entitled to a gift voucher for a complimentary Latte at other the outlets of Café Coffee Day. CCD has 280 participating outlets, scattered across major cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai.

The president- marketing, Café Coffee Day, Bidisha Nagara, said, "We are delighted to partner with American Express, one of the world's most respected service brand. This partnership will help us in bringing great value to our customers and yet again establishing our brand promise that ‘a lot can happen over coffee..."

Nagara hope to deliver value to the customers via this tie-up.

The overall credit card usage is decreasing due to economic slowdown. Banks have also slowed down on issuance of new cards, considering the increasing delinquency rates.
