Cash deposit ATMs to come soon; Hitachi, SBI, Axis tie up

ATMs till now in India had been assigned the major task of cash withdrawal only. But soon two in one ATMs are going to take space in the banking arena which would facilitate both withdrawal as well as deposit of cash in them.

Proactive lenders like State Bank of India and Axis Bank have already started working in this direction to actually bring these deposit ATMs into play. The two lenders have tied up with Hitachi-Omron Terminal Solutions Corp (HOTS) of Japan in order to install these ATMs.

HOTS identified the various amenities which would be coming up for bank customers with these ATMs getting installed. The company said that various banking activies like cash deposit, passbook printing and updation as well a hoard of other functions can be done using these ATMs.

It would also reduce long hours of waiting by customers in bank branches.
