Citibank India launched its Platinum Select Credit Card on Thursday, February 19th. The card carries a powerful combination of special privileges, priority service and superior protection to the customers. The card offers a best-in-class rewards program with superior earn rates, low interest rates, a service platform devoted exclusively to its cardholders and superior security and fraud covers. Sandeep Bhalla, Business Manager, Cards, Citi India, said, "Recent research has revealed that a strong majority of Indians believe that money can't buy happiness, ranking peace of mind, good health and a happy family life over money. It is such decisive insight that has contributed to the design of the Citibank Platinum Select proposition. Each element of the package is carefully selected to make customers feel indulged. Citibank in a press release said that initially the card will be launched in New Delhi and Mumbai with an annual fee of Rs 4,000. India is the second country after Taiwan where the bank is offering its Platinum Select Card. Announcing the launch, Country Business Manager, Global Consumer Group, Citi India, N. Rajashekaran said, "The Citibank Platinum Select is a fine demonstration of our strategy to offer the right product propositions for maximum customer engagement and activity on our products, supported by strong customer experience and service initiatives." The Platinum Select Card aims at providing exclusive dining privileges, complimentary access to swimming pool, spa and health club at some hotels and rewarding shopping. Also the cardholders can enjoy a 50% discount on weekend stays at Taj Properties and a 50% discount on buffet lunches at any Taj property for up to six persons at a time. It offers a cover of up to Rs 50,000 against financial loss due to the fraudulent use of their card for 96 hours before reporting. The card also gives insurance cover of Rs. 1,50,000 in case of burglary of household articles, Rs 25,000 if the personal baggage is lost during travel, Rs 10,000 if the passport is lost in a foreign country and Rs 40,000 in case of loss or damage of items purchased. |
