The police have arrested Vikram Dharamadhikari, a 27 year old graphic designer in Mumbai for stealing his colleague's credit card in order to meet his girlfriend's demands. The victim was Rajshri Khatau who worked in the same company as the accused. The police alleged that the accused stole the credit card from Khatau and subsequently made purchases from an electronic store at Indraprastha Mall in Borivli West. The police said that he made purchases worth Rs. 11,500 that included a second hand mobile phone and cosmetics for his girlfriend Riya Shelar. Khatau realised that her credit card had been stolen when she started receiving updates from the credit card company each time a purchase was made. The police traced the registration number of the motorbike with the help of these statements. When the police visited Khatau's office, they discovered the same bike in the compound. The police said, "During interrogation, Dharamadhikari confessed to his crime. He said that in spite of earning around Rs 25,000 a month, he could not meet his girlfriend's demands and had therefore stolen the credit card."
