New Delhi: If plans of Deutsche Bank are to be believed, very soon you credit card will carry the image of your family. A new entrant into the credit card business in India, Deutsche Bank is offering attractive credit card offers, forging tie-ups and promoting attention grabbing campaigns like this one to increase its market share and grow its customer base. Within a short span of one and a half year Deutsche Bank has issued more than 350,000 credit cards and divulging the details Shameek Bhargava, Director & Head of Credit Cards, Asia Pacific, Deutsche Bank, said, "Spends on the cards are better than the industry average." Deutsche Bank has mastered the technology to put the pictures on the credit cards and is currently working on a screening mechanism, whereby 'inappropriate' pictures do not enter into the system and get printed on Deutsche Bank's credit cards. Once this mechanism is set up, the wait will be over and Deutsche Bank credit card holders can have the pictures of their loved ones on their preferred piece of plastic. A further step in increasing its customer base was the launch of a co-branded credit card with Landmark. The Deutsche Bank Landmark credit card, will come in Platinum and Gold flavors, and bring a host of benefits, rewards, discounts etc. to the discerned book, music and movie fans who shop at Landmark retail stores. In addition to these credit cards Deutsche Bank is also offering various other credit cards in India to cater to a wide range of customer choices. The approach of Deutsche Bank towards the credit card business is slightly different from major players as it recognizes the fact that it is a 'newcomer'. So, Deutsche Bank has adopted a strategy to identify 'segments' based on card use and selling cards with better offers to these segments. |
