Dhanlaxmi and Doha Bank sign remittance service pact

Private sector lender, Dhanlaxmi Bank has entered into Qatar based lender, Doha Bank for online fund remittances.

The service will allow NRIs to remit funds from any branch of Doha Bank to recipients in Dhanlaxmi Bank in any of its branches. Dhanlaxmi Bank currently has a branch network of 274 in India. Fund remittance will also be allowed to other banks using NEFT/RTGS facility in India.

Speaking on the tie-up, Salil Datar, Head, Branch Banking & NRI Business, Dhanlaxmi Bank said: "This association with Doha Bank is part of our NRI Banking business proposition. The arrangement will enable us to provide our customers convenient and secure services besides expanding our remittance network across GCC countries."

R Ganesan, Executive Manager, International Banking Group, Doha Bank said: "The tie-up with Dhanlaxmi Bank provides an opportunity to extend our services to the vast NRI community in the region by meeting all their banking requirements. We are committed to serving the NRIs and provide them a seamless banking experience."

The deal will also set as gateway for Dhanlaxmi Bank's expansion in Qatar and thus the middle east.
