Private sector lender Axis Bank has launched a new online payment mechanism called 'e-wallet card.' The product would be made available to customers without any added costs.

It would be working similar to a debit or credit card for making payments online.

The card can be created using the internet banking option of Axis Bank. All websites which accept payments through Visa cards can be accessed using the e wallet card.

Customers are required to visit the internet banking portal of the bank, select on the e wallet option and then select on the account from which money would be debited for further transactions.

The card has a minimum limit of Rs 10 while the maximum limit is Rs 50,000.

The card is valid for 48 hours.
