HDFC Bank arranges for online donation in TN temples

Private sector lender HDFC Bank has entered into a pact with the Arulmigu Arunachaleswarar Temple in Thiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu regarding offering of donations by devotees.

The agreement will now allow devotees to make donations through online payment gateway. Those who cannot make it to the temple in person to make donations will now benefit by this route.

Also HDFC Bank debit as well as credit card can be used to make payments.

The bank's Country Head, Operations, A Rajan said, "India is a spiritually enlightened country and HDFC Bank has always used technology that touches lives of our customers in all the spheres. This tie-up will enable lakhs of devotees of Arulmigu Arunachaleswarar Temple to conveniently send their offerings to their favourite deity, using HDFC Bank's secured net banking services. It also enables the devotees to select the specific purpose for which the donation is made."

The bank has been offering this facility in Mata Vaishnodevi Temple, Shree Jagannath Temple, Shree Sidhivinayak Temple, Shirdi Sai Baba temple, etc.
