IMPS facility launched by PNB too

Public sector lender Punjab National Bank has also joined the Interbank Mobile Payment Service (IMPS) league.

With this IMPS has got 21 banks offering the service of fund remittance through mobile phones.

Customers of PNB can now transfer funds through their cellphones to beneficiaries' accounts with other banks having IMPS facility.

Other banks having this facility include Axis Bank, Bank of India, Corporation Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and State Bank of India.

PNB incorporated the service on May 19, 2011.
