Private sector lender IndusInd Bank has inked a deal with Atos Worldline India regarding the acquisition of point of sale (POS) terminals.

As per the deal, Atos would be setting up MasterCard and Visa POS networks for the bank.

Also it will aid in allowing merchants to open accounts with IndusInd Bank, thereby leading to merchant networking too.

"Our entry into merchant acquiring business is yet another step towards creating a one-stop shop environment for our growing client base. The bank will use this service to drive customer loyalty and cards spend to the next level," IndusInd Bank Head (Consumer Banking) Sumant Kathpalia said.

"This alliance will definitely enable IndusInd Bank expand their service offerings to merchant customers," Atos Worldline India CEO Sameer Nemavarkar said.
