New Delhi: JetPrevilige, the frequent flyer program from India's leading airline -Jet Airways has entered into a 'credit card points to JPMiles conversion' arrangement with Deutsche Bank and Barclays Bank, two of the leading multi-national banks in India.

This arrangement will help the credit card holders of these banks to redeem their reward points towards JPMiles. A minimum of 500 Barclaycard points are needed for Barclaycard holders so that they become eligible for this reward conversion program. The conversion program for Barclaycard will work in batches. Cardholders will have to convert 1450 Barclaycard points into JPMiles at a time. Every batch of 1450 Barclaycard points will earn 500 JPMiles for JetPrevilige members.

A minimum of 250 Deutsche Bank Reward points are required for Deutsche Bank credit card holders to become eligible for the reward conversion program. Like the Barclaycard points, Deutsche Bank Reward Programs can only be converted in batches. The minimum batch size for reward conversion is 100 Deutsche Bank Reward points. The cardholder will earn 100 JPMiles for every 100 Deutsche Bank Reward points.

The JPMiles can be redeemed for free flights on Jet Airways or 12 of its airline partners. JetPrevilige members have the access to highest standards of luxury and service in air travel. This is first such tie-up with an airline directly for both the Barclays Bank and Deutsche Bank. Jet Airways has a tie-up with Citibank and the bank offers JPMiles rewards to its Jet Airways Citibank Platinum Card holders. This credit card is also available in Gold and Silver categories.

Competitor airlines like Kingfisher Airlines and Indian Airlines too have their share of credit card issuing partners. ICICI Bank had recently launched a co-branded credit card called the ICICI Bank Kingfisher Airlines Credit Card. American Express offers Indian Airlines American Express Credit Card, which offers fabulous reward points for Indian Airlines frequent flyers. This attempt by Jet Airways to offer a reward conversion offer is directed towards bringing the credit card holders of these two banks into its reward program purview and extend its reach over the entire segment of airline reward program.
