Landmark, the leading book and music retailer in India has launched ‘Landmark Electronic Gift Cards' , the first-of-its-kind concept in the Indian retail industry.

The card blends the features of credit cards, debit cards, prepaid cards and gift vouchers. It can be loaded and re-loaded with value over Rs. 50/ like prepaid cards whenever required.

Like credit cards, it is an electronic card, which can be used for making online purchases and the amount deducted from the card is same as the amount for which the purchase is made. In other words, cardholder is not required to purchase for the entire value in card at the same time, as the case is with the gift vouchers.

The Landmark Electronic Gift Cards bear no expiry dates and can be swiped when user makes purchases at the Landmark stores. The card can also be used for making online purchases using the card number. Cardholders can also check the card balance online.

These cards have an edge over the gift vouchers, which have a fixed spend value and are susceptible to physical damage.

The Corporate Gift card a variant of the Gift card, avails special discounts on bulk purchases to corporate houses.

The Landmark Electronic Gift Cards are available across all the major stores of company- Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Baroda, Chennai, Gurgaon, Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune.
