A new facility has been added by LIC for its credit card holders. The users of LIC credit cards can now report the loss of their cards through the 24 hour helpline of the company known as LIC Cards Services.

"LIC Cards Services Ltd has launched Card Protection Plan for its credit card customers in partnership with CPP Assistance Services... and it safeguards all of the LIC cardholder's payment cards - credit, debit and ATM cards," a company statement quoted.

This facility will not only be restricted to the credit cards of customers only. They can even register their non financial cards like store cards, membership cards etc with this facility.

The facility would also allow customers to retrieve lost data and details from important documents which get stolen like passport, PAN card and driving license, the statement further added.

However, in order to register themselves with the plan, the customer has to membership plan offered by LIC.

The company said that there are two offerings that would be given in the membership cards, one with an annual fee of Rs. 995 and another with Rs. 1, 295.

"The difference between the two is in the Assistance services limits and fraud protection limits provided to the consumer," it added.

The plan also brings with it joint membership facility.
