Credit card services major American Express has launched a platinum lounge at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai for platinum credit card holders of AmEx.

American Express banking corporation CEO, Shailesh Baidwan quoted, ''We already have very strong lodging and airline privilege benefits and are now making the cardmembers' on-ground experiences better.''

The lounge facilites would be complimentary for primary and supplementary platinum charge card holders along with provision for one accompanied guest. Platinum credit card holders will be able to avail lounge facilites after a nominal fee.

Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport received a similar facility last year.

Apart from lounge facilites, there are an array of other services accompanying the offer like discounts on international air tickets, complimentary hotel upgrades, exclusive platinum services provided at more than 650 hotels and resorts around the world, access to 600 exclusive VIP airport lounges in 90 countries, and travel rewards through the membership rewards program.
