Public sector lender, Canara Bank has announced the introduction of 105 branches and ATMs to its branch and ATM networks respectively on the 19th of November.

The move has been made to mark the foundation day of the bank. The number 105 commemorates the 105th year of the banking operations of the lender.

With the addition of these new branches and ATMs, the branch and ATM network of the bank will now count to 3,167 and 2,122 respectively.

Amongst the total 105 new branches, 93 will be located in semi urban and rural areas and would thus add to the financial inclusion drive of the lender. These branches will be spread across 22 states.

Also, 1 lakh General Credit Cards (GCC), 50,000 Smart Cards and 10 Financial Literacy and Credit Counselling Centres (FLCC) will be opened all over India to mark the financial inclusion drive.
