The banking regulator of the country, RBI has said that customers can now track the applications filed with the bank on the net. The apex bank said that the applications can be tracked online with the aid of the Application Tracking System (ATS) which has been made available on the bank's website. The bank however clarified that the ATS will not be active for tracking complaints filed with the Banking Ombudsman or any other complaint. The bank has recently also appointed a committee to improvise the customer service condition with banks. The committee is headed by M.Damodaran, former chairman of Securities and Exchange Board of India. The seven-member committee includes, among others, P. Rajyalakshmi Rao, former member, National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Ashok Rawat, secretary, All India Bank Depositors' Association, M.V. Nair, chairman, Indian Banks' Association and chairman and managing director, Union Bank of India and B. M. Mittal, CEO, Banking Codes and Standards Board of India.
