A credit card racket has been disclosed by the police in the country's capital, New Delhi. The police have arrested three people in association with the scam and discovered around 200 fake cards in their possession. All these cards have been seized. The Crime Branch in the city has taken three accused named Amit Shukla, Jaspal Singh and Pankaj Aggarwal into custody from their office located in Pitampura in North-West Delhi. The cards that are recovered from these three people include 173 credit cards, 13 PAN cards and 18 driving licenses. All these were made on fake IDs from their possession, said the police. The main accused is considered to be Amit Shukla as most of the seized cards were on his name with different addresses. He is employed as a guard at an MCD Primary School in Delhi since 2001. On the other hand the other two accused were found to be involved in a manner that Jaspal's place was being used to operate the racket while Pankaj used to shop with these fake cards. Further investigations regarding the case are on while these accused remain in custody. The credit card fraud in the country is continuously rising. Recently Ahmedabad City Detection of Crime Branch had also arrested a man accused in 12 credit card frauds across the country. |
