Public sector lender, Allahabad Bank has reported to have achieved business worth Rs. 1,79,000 crore in the fiscal ended recently. With this the bank has been able to outrun its target of Rs 1,75, 000 crore set for the year. The bank's deposit book showed a figure of Rs 1, 06, 000 crore while its advances stood at Rs 73,000 crore for the period, chairman and managing director JP Dua said. Dua also said that the bank has implemented core banking solution (CBS) in 969 branches across the country. The bank has plans of implementing CBS in all its 2, 287 branches by the end of December 2010. Speaking on the bank's line of action this year, he said that the bank would focus on increased credit flow to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The bank has also come up with its first branch in Silvassa which comes under the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. |
