Jobs in banking sector would also come with an entrance examination now. 19 public sector banks will be conducting common written examination (CWE) on September 18.

The exam would have participation from most major banks barring State Bank of India.

The exam has been notified by the Institute of Banking Personal Selection (IBPS). The exam score would now be mandatory for selection of bank probationary officers, management trainees.

It would be conducted once in six months.

"We are expecting that over 10 lakh people will appear for the first exam in September,'' the IBPS Chief said.
