The finance minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee has insisted that the financial inclusion campaign should be able to engulf as many as 73000 villages in the country by end of this fiscal. "The target (of covering such villages) for 2010-11 has been completed and I am quite confident the balance will be fulfilled by March 2012," he said. The fiscal last ended saw 29000 villages get financially included. In order to offer training to the youth, Central Bank of India and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) have inked a deal. "This demographic dividend in terms of numbers would not be beneficial to us if we cannot provide them skill, if we cannot convert this vast workforce inot skilled work force," Mukherjee said.
