SBI to take the responsibility of educating poor girls

State Bank of India, the largest lender in the country has decided to take steps to educate the girl child. The Ashiana Nagar branch of the bank in Patna has taken up the charge of covering all education expenses of three underprivileged girls.

Cheques were distributed to their mothers during a function organized in collaboration with Tathagat Educational Development Foundation.

Apart from this, materials like books, slates, pencils and toys were also distributed among 80 other underprivileged children by the SBI regional manager, region 2, Saloni Narayan.

Saloni said that the bank has always worked for social cause and would continue to do so in order to ensure a bright and better future to underprivileged children.
