School toppers as well as teachers felicitated by PNB

Public sector lender Punjab National Bank has declared that it would now be felicitating students who have topped at school level along with their parents and teachers in Tiruchi region.

This mode has generated heavy business opportunity for the bank and it continues the trend for the second year this time.

"We will be giving an in-principle sanction to school toppers and those with meritorious record to enable them pursue higher education,"PNB's Deputy General Manager and Tiruchi Circle Head, Mr S.M. Veerapan said.

The first five merit holding students in the state would be offered education loan. Apart from this, the first and second postition holder in all the 26 districts of the state would be offered education loan facility.

"Ninety two students were honoured last year. As many as 2,267 educational loan accounts were added to our EL portfolio and the total amount disbursed stood at Rs 41.19 crore," Mr R. Ganesan, Chief Manager, said.
