Public sector lender Corporation Bank would be channelizing on its ATM network this time to attract more customers towards it. The bank has plans to add another 2000 ATMs to its kitty this fiscal. With this the ATM count of the bank would be reaching out to 3250 by fiscal end.

CMD of the bank, Mr Ramnath Pradeep said that the 2000 more ATMs that would be added will be located in places where the bank's presence is less or not all all realised.

The project for the same has been given out to a third party. "With the Reserve Bank of India limiting the number of free transactions to five, we see a potential to earn when other bank customers use Corporation Bank ATMs," he said.

The process will also increase customer footfall in tier II and tier III cities where ATMs of the bank are less and at the same time act as an advertising measure for the bank.
