Bank of India has appointed Mairpady Narendra as its new Executive Director. The banker who has taken over the post with effect from November 6th was earlier working as the Chief General Manager of Corporation Bank headquartered at Mangalore. Mr Narendra had joined Corporation Bank in 1975 and since April 2005 he was heading Credit Division of the bank as the Chief General Manager. His span of 33 years in Corporation Bank showed a rapid growth in his career graph. He had worked as a branch head in different capacities, ranging from Manager to Assistant General Manager in various branches across the country, including rural areas and metros. He effectively handled varied portfolios in operations and administration such as foreign exchange, financial & risk management, investment and international banking, precious metals, cash management services and subsidiary in important positions. Narendra was also assigned an ‘outstanding performance as a regional head' award when he was in charge of the Delhi region of the bank. He had been a member of Chairman's Club for eight consecutive years and secured several awards. |
