Public sector lender Canara Bank is most likely to go on recruitment spree this fiscal by filling up the 3000 vacancies to be created in the bank across different positions, informed executive director of the bank, Ms Archana S Bhargava. She also said that along with positions in clerical, probationary officers and agricultural officers posts, specialist profiles would also be filled like the ones in fields of IT. "We have significant retirements which are to be replaced and branch expansion programme during the current year,'' she said. The bank also has plans to add 250 more branches to its existing network before March 2012, said Bhargava. "We will focus on retail segment along with stability in Current Account and Savings Account (CASA). The corporate credit demand was sluggish in the first quarter on expected lines,'' Ms Bhargava said while speaking on the bank's focus points for this fiscal.
