HSBC hiring Indian Global Banking head from Goldman

HSBC seems to have hired Sunil Sanghai of Goldman Sachs as head of its Indian Global Banking operations, sources said.

Sanghai is currently working as co-head of investment banking wing of Goldman Sachs in India.

With the new appointment, he would be heading the investment banking and capital market businesses of HSBC in India with effect form September.

Sanghai has been appointed to the post one month after Tarun Kataria, who was then heading global banking operations of the bank quit and joined Religare Capital Markets Ltd as CEO.
