Income tax payments enabled in HDFC Bank ATMs

Private sector lender HDFC Bank has started the facility of income tax payments through its ATMs. Using the service the 115 lakh debit card clientele' of the bank can now avail easier and hassle free tax payment procedure.

"With this facility, the bank has given its vast customer base the freedom from waiting in long queues at counters or logging into the internet to pay their taxes," the bank said.

The service will be made available across 5,998 HDFC Bank ATMs in 1,111 cities of India.

Once customers register themselves with the service, the payment option will automatically be activated, the bank said.
