Indian Bank brings new variable RD scheme

Public sector lender Indian Bank has introduced a new recurring deposit (RD) scheme for customers. The new scheme which is a variable RD scheme is mainly targetted to encompass people under the financial inclusion plan.

The scheme was launched by CMD of the bank, Mr T M Bhasin Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu.

According to Mr Bhasin, the prime focus of the bank is to render financial assistance as well as banking amenities to the unbanked areas of the country through its 1900 branches.

He said that the bank has planned to cover as many as 5500 villages under its financial inclusion plan.
