Indian bank received award for helping SHG

According to a bank statement for providing the help to self help groups Indian bank has been awarded with the best bank award. At an occasion in Tamil Nadu, the managing director cum chairman of the Indian bank was awarded by the chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

It has been reported that bank has aided SHG with an aggregate credit of Rs 10,900 crore in the state. Further it has been reported that the bank has reached to out 7 lakh SHG . For its excellent performance in assisting the SHG the city – head quartered bank has been declared as the best bank by the Tamil Nadu government. The bank provides its banking services in the southern region through three rural branches of the bank.
