Karnataka Bank bags award for 'Best Bank'

Private sector lender, Karnataka Bank has been given the award for being the 'Best Bank' for the year 2010 in terms of IT risk management in the small bank category.

The award has been given by the Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT), Hyderabad.

The award was given out by Mr Anand Sinha, Deputy Governor of Reserve Bank of India to Mr P. Jayarama Bhat, Managing Director of the bank, at Hyderabad, said a release by the bank.

The bank has been given the award for the second time in a row, said the release.

Recently another South Indian Bank has also bagged an award from IDRBT.
