Technology will aid banks in cost reduction

Adaption of advanced technology is expected to aid banks in achieving economies of scale and thereby reduce operational cost, said CMD of Corporation Bank, Mr Ramnath Pradeep while expressing his thoughts.

Pradeep said so while addressing the Bankers' Club of Mangalore of which he also happens to be the Honorary Chairman.

He urged on the need for banks to upgrade themselves in terms of emerging technologies so as to offer services to the customer with the least hassle.

The effective implementation of technology should be coupled with its usage in offering competitive services, urged Pradeep.
