UCO Bank moves forward with financial inclusion target

Public sector lender, UCO Bank has initiated its ICT-based financial inclusion drive at Barapind village of Ropar district in Punjab. The drive was initiated by Chairman and Managing Director of the bank, Mr Arun Kaul.

The event was attended by Mr S.C. Kaushik, Chief General Manager of Nabard, Mr R.K.Murgai, General Manager of UCO Bank.

The drive aims to cover 30 villages in Punjab and 21 in Haryana.

The bank has tied up with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to offer services under this drive. Also, the bank would be using the business correspondent model termed as UCO Saathis.
